About
One part of the training will focus on the Transpedicular Basivertebral Nerve Ablation procedure, covering the full process from diagnostic evaluations (such as medial branch blocks) to the ablation technique itself.
The second part will highlight practical applications of the 7StarScope device – a unique tool combining ultrasound imaging and a needle-sized endoscope, enabling advanced visualization and precision in interventional procedures.
Participants will also receive hands-on training in Resadisc®, a minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of discogenic low back pain using bipolar radiofrequency energy applied directly within the disc.
Throughout the workshop, participants will train procedures commonly performed in everyday clinical practice, including:
• Diagnostic injections for facet joint and radicular pain
• SI joint injections
• Epidural injections
• Intra-articular injections (knee, shoulder, elbow)
• Advanced techniques such as spinal and peripheral nerve stimulation
The programme is designed to deliver a comprehensive and in-depth learning experience. Training is provided in small groups (max. 4 participants), in two-hour intensive blocks combining short lectures, interactive sessions, and practical cadaver-based training under expert supervision.
Course director / Faculty
The faculty includes experts in interventional techniques.
Robert Rapcan, MD, FIPP, MBA, PhD, the founder of the Interventional Pain Academy will lead the international faculty.
The speakers are experts in their fields and world-renowned experts.
Faculty:
Valuing quality, our instructors are carefully selected physicians from clinical practice who translate their practical abilities and experiences into teaching from daily practice. They focus on evaluating and streamlining clinical algorithms and standards for back pain treatment, introducing new relevant parameters, addressing new treatment procedures and technologies, and contributing to the further development of systematic internal education, professional publishing, and lecture activities.
Procedures
The course participants wil be divided into 5 groups of four with 5 workstations at their disposal. Experienced FIPP instructors will be on hand to offer guidance and support at each station.
- Station 1 – Diagnostic procedures before BVN ablation procedure (Diagnostic injections for medial branch blocks) + Transpedicular BVN ablation procedure itself
- Station 2 – Resadisc Procedure – From Diagnosis to Ablation
- Station 3 – 7StarScope – Interlaminar + Transforaminal Epidural injections, Facet joint injections, Medial branches injections
- Station 4 – 7StarScope – Hip joint injections, Knee joint injections, S1 + SI joint injections
- Station 5 – 7StarScope – Peripheral Nerve Stimulation, Intra articular injections (shoulder, elbow)
