5th IPA Cadaveric Workshop – Warsaw 2026

Date: Friday, 27 November 2026
Location: Warsaw – Jablonna, Poland
Format: 1-day intensive cadaver hands-on training
Venue: WARSAW LAB Practical Medicine Institute, Prosta 2 Street, 05-110 Jabłonna – Warsaw, Poland
Key Course Metrics: 5 Stations | 20 Participants | 1:4 Hands-on Ratio | Cadaver-Based Training
Multimodal training (fluoroscopy, ultrasound, needle-based endoscopy)

This cadaver workshop is designed as a practical, hands-on training programme in interventional pain and musculoskeletal medicine, covering both fundamental and advanced procedural techniques.

The course focuses on the integration of anatomical knowledge with image-guided interventional techniques, with emphasis on procedural safety, precision, and clinical applicability.

Participants will engage in structured cadaver-based training under direct faculty supervision, with repeated hands-on exposure across multiple procedural domains.

Early registration period: 1 July – 30 September 2026
Standard registration: from 1 October 2026

Course fee

  • Early registration fee: €870
  • Standard fee: €990

Accommodation and travel arrangements are not included.

The aim of the course is to enhance participants’ understanding and technical proficiency in image-guided interventional procedures through cadaver-based training.

Upon completion, participants are expected to improve competence in:

  • Anatomical orientation relevant to interventional pain procedures
  • Safe and accurate image-guided access techniques
  • Core interventional pain procedures under fluoroscopic guidance
  • Application of minimally invasive procedural techniques
  • Recognition and avoidance of procedural pitfalls

The course is intended for physicians involved in interventional management of pain and musculoskeletal disorders, including:

  • Pain medicine specialists
  • Anaesthesiologists
  • Spine intervention physicians
  • Orthopaedic surgeons
  • Neurosurgeons
  • Other clinicians performing image-guided interventions

The workshop is organised into five parallel cadaver stations.

Two stations are dedicated primarily to fluoroscopy-guided spine interventions (C-arm), focusing on established diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in interventional pain medicine.

The remaining three stations are focused on musculoskeletal and orthopaedic pain-related interventions, performed under ultrasound guidance and using 7StarScope® technology.

Participants will be divided into five small groups of four and will rotate between all stations under direct faculty supervision. This structure ensures intensive hands-on experience and repeated procedural exposure in a controlled educational setting.

The workshop includes a broad range of interventional pain and musculoskeletal procedures, covering both fundamental and more advanced techniques.

Training is structured to support stepwise learning, from commonly performed injections to more advanced image-guided and minimally invasive procedures.

Core Interventional Pain Procedures

  • Diagnostic medial branch blocks
  • Epidural injections (interlaminar and transforaminal)
  • Facet joint injections
  • Sacroiliac joint injections
  • Peripheral joint injections (shoulder, knee, hip)

Fluoroscopy-Guided Spine Procedures

  • Pre-procedural diagnostic work-up
  • Transpedicular basivertebral nerve ablation with straight probe – BVNA
  • Selected intradiscal techniques (Resadisc®)

Ultrasound and Image-Guided Musculoskeletal Procedures

  • Joint injections (upper and lower extremity)
  • Spine and paraspinal injections
  • Nerve root and peripheral nerve procedures
  • 7StarScope®-assisted visualization techniques
