Dr. Robert Rapcan Showcases Innovative Stem Cell Technique at NY/NJ Pain Congress
We are proud to share that Dr. Róbert Rapčan, FIPP, MBA, PhD, Medical Director of EuroPainClinics and founder of the Interventional Pain Academy, delivered an expert lecture at the prestigious 13th Annual New York and New Jersey Pain Medicine Congress 2024, held on November 7–10 at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City.
In his presentation titled “Direct Optic View for Annular Tear Repair Using Bone Marrow Derived Stem Cells”, Dr. Rapčan introduced a cutting-edge regenerative technique focused on repairing annular tears following endoscopic discectomy. The method utilizes mesenchymal stem cells harvested from the patient’s own bone marrow and applies them directly to the intervertebral disc to promote regeneration of damaged tissue.
The lecture also included preliminary results from an ongoing clinical study conducted by EuroPainClinics. Dr. Rapčan’s work reflects his long-standing expertise in interventional pain management and highlights the growing potential of regenerative medicine in the treatment of discogenic pain.
The NY/NJ Pain Medicine Congress, led by Dr. Sudhir Diwan, is a renowned educational platform that brings together over 600 specialists worldwide to explore the latest advances in interventional pain therapies, including neuromodulation and regenerative techniques.
