Dr. Berkowitz is a full-time Consultant in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiology, practicing across the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, John Radcliffe Hospital, and Horton Hospital – all part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. His work within these leading tertiary centres provides him with broad expertise in all aspects of MSK radiology, with particular focus on imaging and image-guided interventions in sports injuries, rheumatological and inflammatory conditions (including spondyloarthropathies), spinal disorders, trauma, bone and soft tissue tumours, and bone infections.
He has extensive experience in joint imaging, including shoulder, knee, hip, and foot & ankle, with particular interest in post-arthroplasty evaluation. His key clinical interests include spinal imaging, bone infections, inflammatory arthropathies, and advanced imaging of the foot and ankle.
Dr. Berkowitz completed MSK radiology fellowships at St Paul’s Hospital, University of British Columbia, Vancouver (2018), and at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, UK. He previously trained in core radiology with a subspecialty focus on MSK imaging at Imperial College London, including placements at St Mary’s, Charing Cross, and Hammersmith Hospitals.
