Dr. José Antonio de Andrés Ibáñez is a Spanish professor of anesthesiology and leading expert in pain management, serving as Chairman of Anaesthesia, Critical Care, and Multidisciplinary Pain Management Department at Valencia University General Hospital. He is also a tenured professor at the University of Valencia and head of the Pain Units at Vithas Valencia hospitals. His extensive training includes fellowships in the UK (Royal Infirmary in Abingdon; Oxford), the United States (Texas Tech University), and the Netherlands, among others.
With over 25 years of clinical and research experience, he holds international credentials including FIPP (Fellow in Interventional Pain Practice), European Diploma in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Therapy (EDRA), and European Diploma in Pain Medicine (EDPM). Dr. De Andrés has published hundreds of scientific articles and book chapters, participates on editorial boards of major journals, and is deeply involved in teaching, clinical innovation, and neuromodulation/neurostimulation techniques for chronic pain.
