On November 6–7, 2025, the fourth Interventional Pain Academy (IPA) workshop took place — a specialized educational platform for physicians in the field of interventional pain management, organized under the auspices of EuroPainClinics.
The event was held in the modern facilities of the WARSAW LAB Practical Medicine Institute in Jabłonna – Warsaw, Poland.
Intensive Hands-On Training
The workshop was designed as an intensive hands-on cadaver training, during which participants, under the guidance of an international faculty, had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and practice a wide range of procedures used in everyday clinical practice.
The training also included several advanced operating room procedures, such as:
- basivertebral nerve denervation,
- radiofrequency ablation of the vertebral disc using the ResaDisc method,
- procedures using the Epinavigator,
- and the Racz catheter procedure.
Participants completed an eight-hour course developed by Robert Rapčan, MD, PhD, MBA, FIPP, founder of the Interventional Pain Academy.
The course was led by Michal Matias, MD, FIPP, Medical Director of EuroPainClinics, together with an expert team of specialists from Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Expert Faculty Team
The faculty included leading interventional pain specialists from EuroPainClinics:
Assoc. Prof. Ladislav Kočan, MD, PhD, FIPP,
Ľubomír Poliak, MD, FIPP,
Peter Lenčéš, MD, FIPP,
Juraj Mláka, MD, FIPP, SEDRA,
Martin Griger, MD, FIPP, DESA,
as well as Czech colleagues Mychajlo Zakharchenko, MD, PhD, FIPP and Michal Adam, MD, FIPP.
The expert team was further complemented by guest instructors from the United Kingdom – Dr. Yaron Berkowitz and Dr. Basil Almahdi.
International Participation and Individualized Approach
The workshop was organized across five working stations, each staffed by two instructors, ensuring an individualized learning experience for every participant.
Over two days, the event hosted 38 physicians from across the globe – not only from various European countries, but also from the United Kingdom, the UAE, Qatar, Brazil, and Lebanon.
Such international participation confirms the high professional level of EuroPainClinics specialists and the growing global interest in their expertise and clinical experience in the treatment of chronic pain.
Innovative 7StarScope Technology
Participants also had the opportunity to work with the innovative 7StarScope device, provided by Quantel Medical (France) through its Polish distributor.
This unique instrument enables physicians to visualize the target area directly through a fine needle and then apply treatment precisely at the source of pain, thus expanding the possibilities of interventional diagnostics and therapy.
EuroPainClinics are the only clinics in the Czech Republic and Slovakia currently utilizing this device for targeted and safe treatment of chronic pain.
Acknowledgements
We extend our sincere thanks to all participants for their enthusiasm, professionalism, and active engagementthroughout the course.
Our deepest appreciation also goes to all instructors for their expertise, dedication, and willingness to share their valuable experience.
Special thanks go to our partners for their generous support –

Without their contribution and provision of state-of-the-art equipment, the organization of this workshop would not have been possible.
